Seaweed Concentrate |
Many hibiscus lovers have at one time or another tried, or thought about trying, liquid fish emulsion on their hibiscus. If you ever did this, you probably found the smell to be unacceptably bad. That is not the only drawback to using such products. They are notoriously variable in content, and some brands are useless to downright dangerous for your plants. The idea is, of course, to apply an organic source of nutrients and plant stimulating material directly to the leaves and/or roots of the hibiscus. This is a good idea, but a much better way to do it is to use a good quality organic Seaweed Concentrate. We have found one of the very best and use it on our plants with good results. It contains 4.5 percent potassium along with humic acids and many other co-factors that stimulate growth of roots, enhance the resistance of hibiscus to disease, and strengthen stems. Potassium is well known by hibiscus enthusiasts to promote larger, more colorful blooms and using this seaweed supplement is one great way to treat your hibiscus to more potassium. This Seawood Concentrate is certified to be 100% organic, for those of you who want to be sure your plant fertilizing products are all-organic.
Each quart bottle of the 100 percent organic seaweed concentrate makes approximately 150 gallons of solution that can be sprayed on the hibiscus leaves or poured into the soil or potting mix. It can be mixed with regular HVH water soluble fertilizer for an especially good boost to your plants.
