Ay frijoles! Like spicy hot chile peppers, 'Picante' makes you jump up and down and run for water with its 6-8" hot orange, red, and yellow flowers. The flowers develop more yellow spots and a vivid pink halo in summer heat. The hotter it is, the more yellow and pink the flowers develop. In very cool weather, the flowers will be almost completely red. 'Picante' is the child of 'Saffron' and 'Heartbreak Hotel'. The bush is upright, beautiful and a great bloomer! Released from HVH in 2011. Hybridizer: C. Black
