Heavy Metal

Heavy Metal's Summer Spots

The bold color scheme, the all over metallic shine (not easily captured on photographs) and heavy texture inspired the naming of Heavy Metal. The big 6-8" blossoms in a hot pink/raspberry red color and dark maroon glossy center are eye catching, both close-up and from a distance. In summer the peachy edge is more pronounced and the flower is rimmed by very attractive yellow spots. Heavy Metal's massive blooms have crisp sturdy petals and each flower stays open for several days. Heavy Metal inherited its excellent, floriferous bush from its famous parents, Rainbow Christie and Fifth Dimension. The strong, compact bush has beautiful, glossy leaves. It grows to 4' in height in the ground; potted plants are smaller. Heavy Metal grows well indoors as a houseplant, as a potted patio plant, or in the ground in a frost-free area. Released 2004 from HVH.
