'Hankins Sport'

'Hankins Sport' is a Fast, Vigorous Grower

'Hankins Sport'

'Hankins Sport' is a sport, or spontaneous mutation of one branch of the famous 'Pride of Hankins' cultivar. 'Pride of Hankins' is best known as root stock for grafting exotic hibiscus. Its sport,'Hankins Sport,' serves equally well as grafting root stock. The 3-5" mini, double flower of 'Hankins Sport' is a lighter, softer pink than the flower of 'Pride of Hankins,' but the growth habits and attractive leaves of both plants are the same. The bushes are large, fast-growing, vigorous, and easy to grow. Discovered by Larry Johnson in Tahiti, and offered exclusively by HVH for the first time in 2009.
