Belle du Jour

Belle du Jour's Huge Size

Belle du Jour's Heavy Texture

Another Belle du Jour Look

Belle du Jour is a wonderful, huge, pink single whose qualities are only glimpsed in these photos. This is the best new pink flowering hibiscus we have seen in years. The bright blooms are 7-10" across with an unusually heavy, crinkled texture that sets this different and impressive flower apart. Once seen, you will never mistake Belle du Jour for any other. The bush is excellent too - strong, full, upright and constantly blooming. Belle du Jour can grow up to 5' if in the ground. Potted plants will be smaller. Released 2004 from HVH.

Belle du Jour does especially well as a houseplant, even in windows with very little direct sunlight. It needs extra potassium growing in the house, and the flowers are a bit smaller (7-8"), but the colors and texture are as beautiful as any Belle du Jour grown outside.
